Founder of Superfly Studios (2010)
Andy Banfield officially launched Superfly Studios in 2010. Before that, he worked right in that same Ollerton space as the studio manager for Bluewater Studios starting in 2004 With years spent managing the space, Andy knew the place inside out before taking the plunge and giving it his own spin—as Superfly, it’s become one of the top-rated recording spaces in the Midlands.
Andy has literally spent decades curating a jaw-dropping collection of vintage mics and gear (we’re talking over 50 mics: Neumann, Sennheiser, AKG, RCA, Royer…), plus keyboards like Hammond C3, Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Moog—the whole throwback vibe with modern flexibility
.
